Summer in the Sunshine (and the f#@king Rain)
For three long weekends in a row I’ve been vending my t-shirts at 3 New England festivals. I’ve met some really great people out there. Many of them are now wearing my shirts. I really can’t tell you how much fun we can have @ our vending site. So many people are already familiar with “EAT MORE KALE”, so many others want to know “what is up with this eat more kale??”. There are a lot of people that seem to get a kick out of my designs. I get a kick out of them having a kick. I’ve given away @1500 EMK stickers. You may have seen one around. I attended: the Solarfest in VT., Falcoln Ridge Folk Fest in NY, and Camp Creek also in NY. If I met you and you are checking this out, and we met at one of these fest, send me a quick note to check in. I really did meet some very cool people out there. I also ate some really good food (also some shitty shitty food at Camp Creek…….everything else was great….yet the food was sub state fair food). I heard some great music and met some cool musicians….TAXI CHAIN, Eddie from Ohio, The Great American Taxi, Max Creek, Brie etc etc. I vended by some creative and easy going people. I traded food, fun, and art for t-shirts. I’m not richer, but I’m richer…dig? Thank goodness I vend for fun, not for major profit. Life as a full time vender on the music scene would wear me out in no time. I have one more weekend fest to go….Champlain Valley Folk Fest 1st weekend of Aug.. Then it’s on to late summer and early fall farmers market in Montpelier. Every Sat from @9-1.. I’ll be there late Aug through the end of the season. See you out there maybe. If I met you this summer, I appreciate meeting you, many of you have created some fun and nutty memories. You know who you are.

I saw you and the Eat More Kale shirts at Falcon Ridge, and I definitely hope you come back next year… but if for some reason you don’t, you should try to get up to the Grassroots music festival in Trumansburg, NY, near Ithaca. It’s always the same weekend as Falcon Ridge, though. Grassroots is great, and there are lots of cool people (and good food), and I bet that a lot of Trumansburg and Ithaca people would like to encourage Eating More Kale.
Also, at Falcon Ridge I saw 2 cool T-shirt designs—one was a squid, and one was, I think, a swimmer being entangled by an octopus. Any chance that we can get those through the website?

Bo! it’s Julia—we met at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival in july. I’m sorry for not contacting you sooner, but i wanted to leave you a comment when i had a picture of me and my sister wearing out “eat more kale” shirts together. Now that i finally have the picture, do you have an email i can send it to?
I hope you’re well and coming back to Falcon Ridge next summer!
